We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the Renewable Engineering Centre to provide services, expertise and innovation to the expanding portfolio of development and operational wind projects both onshore and offshore.

The role will also be involved in supporting the operational side of the business and will be integral in the management of the asset integrity of the existing wind turbine fleet, to ensure safe and economical operation. This element of the role will involve data analysis, site-based inspection, engineering risk assessment and reporting to the business.

Responsibilities

From a development perspective, the role will aid the pioneering, procurement and management of the construction of the wind turbines both onshore and offshore. You will lead on the development and delivery of the technical aspects of the Turbine Supply Agreement as well as undertaking due diligence and quality management of wind turbines. Interfacing with other engineering disciplines and project managers, you will deliver an optimised and efficient wind farm within defined governance processes.

Knowledge, skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will be a chartered engineer or have a clear path to becoming chartered. You will bring demonstrable technical knowledge and experience within mechanical engineering; a detailed understanding of wind turbine technology is desirable.
