For our international Client, a highly respectful construction company we seek to appoint a HSE Manager for the purpose of a road project execution. As the HSE Manager you will be the representative of the project and have the overall responsibility for developing and administering project HSE strategies and provide leadership in the implementation of project HSE management systems in accordance with project requirements, developing and administering the project HSE plan in alignment with corporate and project HSE management systems, regular HSE reporting to Contract Manager and Client.
Pre-construction safety meetings
Contractor safety orientations
Weekly site safety inspections
Involvement in OSHA inspections and related follow-up
Research on safety topics
Lead project safety committees
Development and implementation of safety programs
Training programs focusing on the specific needs of a project
Development of safety toolbox talks
Development of written safety programs, guidelines, policies, etc.
Completion of paperwork, associated with safety inspections, accident/incident follow-up, OSHA inspections, employee training, safety orientations
Tracking of safety equipment distributed to the job site.
Knowledge, skills and experience
Bachelors Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or related field
Minimum 5 years experience in roads construction safety
Fluency in English
Proficient in MS-Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
