Our Client is a credible support services and construction company, operating in the public and private sectors worldwide. The company provides consultancy, design, construction, equipment, facilities management services among many others.
Currently, we are looking for the degree qualified for the Senior Management and the Middle Management roles, with strong Facility Management background, and preferred but not obliged previous experience of working in Germany. The Fit out and Minor Works Manager will involve working with tenants within the project’s designing, refurbishing and fitting out commercial office space. You will be responsible for the management of the contractor?s site managers and site teams and will coordinate all aspects of the build process. There is strong design elements to this role and as you will be closely working with Tenants Designers and must have the ability to read CAD/3D images to identify technical errors on the design detailing and resolve these with the tenant and contractor before the build commences. You must ensure all health and safety requirements are adhered to on site and closely liaise with the QSHE manager.
Build good relations with client and project team
Ensure all aspects of the build process are run safely and satisfactorily completed as design
Liaison with construction teams, tenants and landlords
Design control and co-ordination ? sign off of tenant designs
Overview of tenants site manager and site teams
Manage all aspects of build process
Co-ordinate contractors/design against spec
Visit sites at least one day per week and carry out reviews against programme and H&S audits
O&M documentation/completion i.e. sign off and certification of works completed
Be able to identify outstanding design requirements on a contract at an early stage
Be able to control all aspects of the design team and ensure the right information is produced at the right time
Building control and planning submission and approvals
Understand all aspects of any applicable building regulations in KSA for office interior fit out
Be able to identify errors in design detailing and resolve before build commences
Support the Tenant Liaison teams with coordination of works and client approvals, including pre-start, update and handover meetings
Work with the Operations, Client and Supply Chain teams to understand any works programs and when work will affect any tenant properties
Providing communications and updates to the Tenant Liaison team when major works and service disruptions are expected
Understand and ensure adherence to the site safety plans, as well as helping the tenants to stay safe
Knowledge, skills and experience
Likely to have in excess of 3 years experience in a Project Management role in the design and build interiors
Track record of success in supporting fit out contracts
Aware of the trends in the market-place and seeks to deepen knowledge of industry issues and drivers
MENA Experience preferred
An innovative approach and sound management skills.
Experience of working in a busy and challenging workplace/work environment.
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to utilize numerous IT packages (e.g. Microsoft Office, e-mail, Internet etc).
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
